I first saw this on Jimmy Fallons Tonight Show and wanted to purchase it right away, but I couldnt find the app. I just got it, June 2015, and started using it without reading any instructions. Its a fairly easy app to learn. My granddaughter and I just spent about thirty minutes playing around with it. We both play the flute and I could imagine all the creative sound bites we could make with this app. I used it with equipment on my iPad 2 and thats all. I found it picked up sound well. It even recorded my granddaughters cellphone recordings which she made.

This app would be amazing if it allowed for a trim option after you have finished recording a "loop". I am using my guitar and trying to layer riffs on top of each other, but cannot do it properly because of the time it takes for me to stop playing and end the recording on the app. The gap just sits there like an auditory black hole and completely defeats the usefulness of the app.

Amazing app. Best in the store. Solid midi clock sync, excellent audiobus implementation. Id love an undo and Im psyched for the new version. Sad that people see something on tv and then leave this masterpiece one star because they cant bother taking five minutes to learn it.

The simple fact the developer keeps this app on the cutting edge says sooooo much about the quality of this app! It really is simple to use yet has deep abilities that are NOT buried and difficult to get to. An intuitive app designed to maximize the portable market and remains very user friendly.

Loopy is one of those apps that makes your iDevice worth buying. Clean and focussed on doing one thing better than every one else: looping. Audiobus support just blows it out of orbit. Honestly, ignore the one star reviewers. Their parents were not supportive enough. Or something.

I bought this just to mess around with. I now use this as my preferred method of recording multiple track song ideas. Easy to throw a beat down and start layering instruments and vocals. It takes some getting use to but feels natural after you get the hang of it. Its an almost must to use a pair of headphones with-out! a built in mic. The iPhone mic has a built in compressor and records surprisingly well. Ive made good sounding recordings with just my phone. I would love if they would add an option to turn off the mic. If you try and play track through speakers it feeds back. So you have to go into phone settings/privacy/microphone then switch off. For all its quirks though its a pretty nice tool to have on hand. Worth my money

Excellent looper for iOS. Great for both for sitting around playing with headphones and for plugging it into pro hardware for on-stage performance. All-time favorite iPad app. So happy to see the new MIDI bindings, this app gets more powerful with every update.

I possess no musical talent, but I have a wonderful time using Loopy with friends. Loopy has a well designed interface that is easy to use.

This app would have been fine as a free app, perhaps with some IAPs, but as it stands, Im a little upset I convinced myself to actually pay for it.

While creating a song this app continuously crashed. I have been stuck trying to record one track for over a week but all it does is crash, causing me to try and try and try etc...After having this app for a while I will say its a good app when and if it doesnt continuously crash. If I had known that the crashes occurred so frequently I would never have bought it.

Seriously, who are these people giving this thing high ratings!? I have tried numerous music apps for the iPad and this one has by far the worst user experience of all of them. The idea is that you have a bunch of circles on the screen and each one is a track, like a multi track recorder. You tap a circle to record, sing or talk into it or whatever, then tap it again and it stops. But it loops, ha Loopy I get it, over and over and makes up its own tempo. But how do I record a song? How do I control the tempo and time? Tempo requires you tap a circle until it guesses the tempo youre going for, but you cant control what it records, it just randomly lights up and sometimes doesnt and you cant edit what you recorded. I tried the tutorials but they do not really help. I managed to record some random sounds but could not get them to sync up or stick to 4/4 time, basic stuff. This was the opposite of having a good time, just trying to figure out basic recording. I gave up. Wasted my money on their one.

Mic works fine with every other app I have except this p.o.s.... Uninstalling immediately. Enjoy my $$$ you g-d thieves.

The only feature it needs is the ability to work with my Bluetooth headphones. Other than that, its functionally sound and I have a ton of fun with this app.

What gives?

I bought this app a few days ago, and it works great, except for one thing. The microphone sensitivity is very high and in order to make your voice sound clear you have to almost whisper the note and the word. Also, it picks up the other tracks when you try to layer over them and yes it makes the sound richer but it also adds a piercing ringing to the song. Im probably only having this problem because Im using the iPads microphone, but in my opinion this app shouldnt be 4.00, maybe 2.00 or 1.00. But other than the mic the app is amazing. It layers perfectly, theres no delay in any of them like I had with other apps, love how you can change the beat and all that fun stuff. I still say buy it anyways, apart from the microphone problem.

There seems to be timing issues when used on an iphone 6s. Right after a track is recorded, the timing goes off and speeds up the recording. The app is not usable for now.

Terrible noise in recordings on iPhone 6s. Gain appears to be set to max and cant change it. Please fix this :(
